McDow already outlined 22 policy objectives, 18 already framed for resolution, and wrote two resolutions. McDow’s objectives range from opening up the primary system in Maryland, developing a new inclusive trade deal with Africa and South America, creating a Marijuana Safe Law, as well as increasing funding for Law Enforcement and providing tax incentives and breaks for small businesses $50 million and under.

The Committee To Elect Stephen McDow has formed to manage and support the Congressional campaign of Stephen R. McDow II. The Blue Dog Democrat is running in Maryland’s District 6, currently held by Representative David Trone (Democrat).

Two are resolutions and one is legislation he wants to expand upon from his time staffing on Dr. Edwin Powell's DC City Council Ward 4 run in 2014.
